Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!

Last weekend the girls and I went to Atlantic Beach to celebrate Caroline's bachelorette weekend. I can't believe that Caroline will be a "MRS" in just one short month. I am so excited for her and Justin and the life they are about to begin together.

The two days we spent together were lots of fun. It was so nice to just relax and enjoy time together with 'just the girls'. We went out to eat, made ice cream sundaes, and helped Caroline get ready for her honeymoon with a little lingerie shower! Just being a part of this occasion in Caroline's life has meant so much to me. I am so excited for the big day - May 14th!

Ellie Turns 1!

Last March I became an auntie to a beautiful baby girl. My sister, Avery, had her first child, Ellis Noel. "Ellie" turned 1 on March 24th and we had a birthday party for her a couple of weekends ago. It has been so much fun to spoil Ellie over the past year. As the first and only grandchild, she has been the center of attention since her birth. Here are a few pics from her big day:

Being the oldest of six children, family has always been an important part of my life. Growing up in a full house, life was never dull. I am so blessed to have a family as close-knit as ours and I am thankful for each and every one of my siblings, my parents, and - now - my little niece. I can't believe my siblings and I are at the stage in our lives where we are getting married and having children. But it is an exciting time and I can't wait to see how our future will unfold.

My First Post!

Well - the ladies finally wore me down. I am now the proud owner of an official BLOG. :) My sister-in-law and her friends have been trying to make me a part of their 'blog family' for the past two years. So this weekend I decided to make them all happy and create my long-overdue blog. I am excited to start my own page and keep up with friends and family in this way.

Let me start by telling you a little about my life. I currently live in Savannah, GA with my husband, Zack. Although we are are originally from North Carolina, Zack's occupation relocated us to this beautiful town. Zack is a Ranger in the United States Army and we were very blessed to be stationed in Savannah, which is still close to those we love. We miss North Carolina and all our friends and family there. But God has blessed us with a life in Georgia and I am thankful for everything the Lord has given Zack and me. I am currently working as a registered nurse at a pediatric pyschiatric crisis stablization unit. I love my job and the children I care for. I learn something profound from each child and I am grateful to be able to work with such special kids.

I am blessed to live the life that I do. I am excited to share special moments, big events, and day-to-day happenings with you in the near future.
